Therapy & Substance Abuse

As part of an overall integrative approach to health and wellness, the conversation about mental health cannot be left out. At Valley Natural Health, individual, group, and substance abuse therapy is offered.

Patients can work one-on-one with a trained therapist in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. In this setting patients can explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives they would like to change and better understand themselves and others. The goal of this individual therapy is to set personal goals, modify behavior and work toward desired change. Valley Natural Health integrates the physical factors that may be influencing mental health like imbalances of hormones, vitamins and overall physical wellness to attempt a two pronged approach to therapy; one that centers on the mind and the body in a safe and private medical setting.

Substance abuse therapy is also offered at Valley Natural Health with the same addition of medical treatment offered for individual therapy. Substance abuse medical treatment includes IV therapy to address issues such as hydration, detoxification from substances, as well as a combination of nutrients offered to help the body recover from the substance. While the body is healing, the mind is treated as well with neurofeedback. Neurofeedback is brainwave training that teaches the brain to work at its fullest capacity, able to mutli-task, and heal the old pathways that may be hindering progress through recovery. Neurofeedback isn’t only for substance abuse, it has been shown to improve conditions such as depression, insomnia, ADD/ADHD, stress and trauma.

The substance abuse therapy offered by Valley Natural Health integrates group therapy as well as individual therapy. An intensive outpatient recovery is offered which is geared toward the working class that may be battling with dependency or substance abuse. The program works to meet the need of those who cannot afford to take time off work to attend an in-patient rehabilitation but need more intensive therapy than a once-a-week appointment. There are evening groups available that are holistic and have an evidence based approach overseen by medical professionals. Groups include process and education, but individual and family counseling are also available.

Relieve yourself of that which burdens your mind and body by addressing all elements of wellness through these therapy and healing programs.
